Hang in there!!!!Is it a new vial ... could it be losing it's potency? We never did the night time Lantus thing, so I can't offer anything other than that....AND A BIG HUG WITH PRAYERS!!!!
Oh amy I am so sorry I have not done the lantus thing either you are a great mom I am sure you will figure it out . Hugs going your way .
It never sleeps...how are we supposed to not need help today? It takes a few days to do what it is supposed to do. Hang in there! If it still is horrible in a day or two, make the call! (Um, we never used lantus...ever...but that's the advice our endo always gives us. :)
Sorry you're going through a hard time with the switch over. I've heard it's tough, which is one of the reasons we still use NPH. I hope it starts getting better... and SOON!
Just keep in contact with your doctor and let her know what is happening. Lantus might not work at night for you guys. Try a new vial and hang in there.
I'm sorry!!! Changes are always hard!! I hope it calms soon!! HUGS!
Hey! Just found your blog... My daughter did Levemir (I believe it is the same as Lantus) twice a day for probably a year (she's been on the pump for the past year). It was wonderful and stopped some very scary dips that we were having with NPH. That being said, we were up to 8 injections a day total in order to get good numbers.Hang in there.Rebecca :)
Amy - I will be praying for your family as your deal with the adjustments. I will also pray that it will work as it should! The Lord is Sovereign over all - lean on Him!
Hey Amy. I was going to send ya an email but couldn't find your addy. Could you email me por favor? firstname.lastname@example.org!! Thanks chica!
Thank you girls for your encouragement! I don't know what I'd do with out you! We've dealt with stupid crazy lows two mornings in a row and the rest of the time we've dealt with her being uncharacteristically high. So--I'm wondering if the Lantus is bad. Tonight, I'll change to a new vial and see what happens. If we don't get better results, I'll be calling the dr. on Monday and telling her that we're going back to Lantus in the morning!
