It's 4:30 am and I'm Awake!

I wish there were some other reason I was awake. Low blood sugar....nope. Jada is completely in range and is poised to wake up at great number. Eli sick....yes, after going too hard yesterday, we're probably missing church this morning, but he's asleep right now.
I'm rather irritated. We were awoke at 3 am to the sound of our new (in the last two weeks) neighbors having a drunk fest on their back deck. There must have been more than 10 people outside talking, laughing, swearing and yelling. At one point, I heard some guy trying to get a dog to ride a skateboard! At first, we tried to ignore it- because we're nice people and we don't like to call the cops. But...come on people......this is a family neighborhood. People with kids all up and down this street. After about 15 minutes of laying there, Jeff got up and called the police. The police showed up.....an hour later. I know that a loud group of drunks may not be top priority in Fairbanks, Alaska. But an hour? And now I'm wide awake. And irritated.

When I saw the title of your blog, I new that I had to come visit you! I am the mother of a 5 year old Diabetic Prince. I would love to connect with you for support and encouragement. Are you game for that?

P.S. We've had some of the same neighborhood drama lately as well. Haven't called the police yet, but looks like we'll have to pretty soon!

I have neighbors like that, but luckily don't have those parites but once or twice a year. Though when they have that party, they party. Maybe you will get a nap.

We have the same kind of neighbors. Ours have fires on their back deck along with three kids that have no manners. Like you we didn't and haven't called the police but someone did. I would love to say it has changed but not. Our pastor told a story about his mom when they lived in Army housing running the vaccum on the walls at 3 am to shut up the drunks. Amazing how inconsiderate people can be.
